Celebrate You! (4/29) #DecisionDay

Whether you’ve made your decision or are still undecided, come celebrate your accomplishments and those of your peers. 5/1 is National College Decision Day when seniors face the big decision to commit to a college or university or their plans after graduation. Senior parents can come out and cheer the students on at the quad celebration during lunch. You can arrive at 11:20 am. If you would like to lend a hand before the event, with setup, you can arrive at 9:45 am.

Our school’s School Site Council (SSC) will be meeting virtually, Thursday, April 28 at 4:00p.

The School Site Council (SSC) is responsible for developing the Single Plan for Student Achievement. The council is guided by Federal law (Title I), California law (Education Code 52012), and LAUSD policy (BUL-6332.0). The SSC also ensures that the following mandates are met:

  • The creation of the school-level Title I Parent Involvement Policy
  • The creation of the Title I School-Parent Compact
  • The development of the Title I parent involvement budget
  • The proposed expenditures of all categorical funds
  • The development of the comprehensive school safety plan

Our school’s Local School Leadership Council will be meeting virtually, Wednesday, April 27 at 4:00p.
What’s the LSLC? It’s a shared decision-making body, composed of elected parents, community members, school personnel, and students. The LSLC works cooperatively to make decisions in four areas of the school program:
– School calendar
– Student discipline
– Budget for instructional materials
– Professional development

My Voice Student Survey (4/27-5/3)

#ERHighSchool is excited to be the first school to participate in a pilot student empowerment initiative led by Student Board Member Parishi Kanuga – the My Voice student survey.

The brief survey (only 2 questions) will launch via Schoology on Wed 4/27 and close on Wed 5/3, asking for your input about leadership opportunities and what matters most to you at our school and in the district.

Local District Central – Free Computer Course (4-25 5:00p & 4/26 3:30p)

@lausd_ldc is offering a Free 8-hr minimum, self-paced online course where you can learn basic computer knowledge about: Internet, Online Safety, Video Conference, Windows 10, Mouse and keyboard basics, Email, and more!
